Official Rules of Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo

  • Whenever encountering a master or fellow disciples of a higher rank, disciples must nghiêm lễ (bow) according to the formalities of the school.
  • Disciples are absolutely forbidden to display inappropriate, playful, or disrespectful behaviors during training and school activities.
  • Disciples are strictly prohibited from using language, gestures, or behaviors that diminish the reputation of Vovinam and their nation.
  • Disciples are strictly prohibited from disclosing private knowledge and information that the school does not authorize for public dissemination.
  • Disciples are absolutely forbidden to exploit the name, rank, or delegation of the school for personal motives or benefits.
  • Disciples are strictly forbidden from arbitrarily using belts, ranks, uniform colors, insignias, and symbols incorrectly in school activities.
  • Disciples are absolutely forbidden to teach martial arts recklessly without the formal approval of the school through its authorized leadership.
  • Disciples are strictly forbidden from using the school's name to compete in fights or provoke conflicts with other martial arts schools.
  • Disciples are absolutely forbidden from acting as bodyguards for anyone who is not a superior within the school.
  • Disciples are strictly forbidden from serving as agents for outsiders or malicious groups, betraying the interests of their nation and Vovinam.
